# The Core Brain

> How Orbeex's GIS engine and AI orchestration fit together.

# The Core Brain

The **Core Brain** is the combination of:

1. **The GIS execution engine** — deterministic, memory-safe, high-performance.
2. **The AI orchestration layer** — probabilistic planning, isolated from execution.

They are separated by a typed, serializable contract: the **Operation Graph**.

## Layers

| Presentation | Desktop (native) and Web (WASM) shells |
| Orchestration | Command bus, session state, undo graph, plugin host |
| AI Orchestration | Intent, planner, multi-LLM router, safety gate |
| GIS Engine | Vector, raster, CRS, spatial index, I/O, scheduler |
| Persistence | GeoPackage/SQLite, FlatGeobuf, COG, Arrow |

The engine **never** requires network. LLM calls are the only network dependency and are
user-configured.
